🔧 Installation Overview
Installing your Aluminess Nerf Bars is a straightforward bolt-on process but does require drilling and two people for safe and accurate mounting. These bars are designed to work with stock and lifted Ford E-Series vans.\
🛠️ What You’ll Need

Tools:

Drill with 1/4”, 5/16”, and 3/8” bits

Standard wrench set

Center punch or scribing tool

Leveling tool
-
C-clamps
-

Pro Tip:
Apply anti-seize lubricant to all stainless steel bolts before installation to avoid thread binding.

🧰 Installation Steps (Summary)

Bracket Assembly: Attach front and rear brackets to the nerf bar using included 3/8” bolts.

Positioning: Hold the nerf bar against the underside of the van with a helper. Ensure it’s level.

Drilling:

Mark and drill holes into the step and body for bracket mounting.

Carefully avoid wires when drilling through the step area.

Mounting:
-
Bolt the nerf bar through the step and rear body flange using included hardware.
-
Secure additional support using the provided no-slip clip-on nuts and bolts.
-

Repeat: Follow the same process for the opposite side.
If you are also installing a mid-mount ladder or surf pole, refer to the add-on instructions to mount to the upper nerf bar pipe using through-bolts.
